Regulatory Issues

In Canada there are many industries which are subject to government regulation.  These regulations are often well known to our clients.

However, even where the regulations are well known, disputes can arise between the business and the government.  In most cases these disputes are documented between the client and the regulatory body.  Occasionally the client requires legal advice in crafting a response or dealing with particular issues.

Sometimes a dispute requires a hearing before a regulatory body so that a decision can be made.   These hearings can have a significant impact upon your business and may involve licensing issues.   It is highly advisable to seek legal advice on such issues and have a lawyer attend the hearing with you.
